  • Sharing our experience with the Zipadeezip! Now available in our store!

We're proud to be your only online store in Singapore to have lovingly brought in the Zipadee-zips from the USA, which has sold over 20,000 pieces wordlwide! This proves how significantly this product has helped babies all over the world improve their sleep habits.

If you're a sleep deprived mummy, and just can't wait to get a good night's sleep again.. why not give the Zipadee-zip a try? We have managed to get more sleep again, and so has our little baby!

Hi! My name is Kayven and I’m 7 months old.

This is a picture of me, just fresh from a good night’s sleep. I was not always like this… sometimes really grouchy cos’ I kept getting woken up during the night due to my strong startle reflex* - a slight little sound from the neighbours, the (loud) flick of a light switch, just anything! Anything would wake me up.

My mom says that I was a preemie, so she would diligently swaddle and wrap me up whenever it was time to sleep from birth. I really love the feeling of being warm and snug. I sleep really well whenever I feel this way.

When I was 3 months old, I realised that wiggling around in the swaddle was so much fun! I would get a strong sense of achievement whenever my arms could wiggle free … with my arms (and sometimes legs) free, I was getting constantly startled and I didn’t like it very much. So there I was, not getting enough sleep at night and totally grumpy in the morning. I think my mom was really frustrated with me, and kept swaddling me throughout the night – only for me to wiggle my way out again.

In the past few months, I have been wrapped up in so many ways possible… Arms tucked by my side, one arm out, both arms up, legs out.. you name it, I’ve tried it. But every time I could definitely find a way to fight my way out, and wake myself up.

One night, when I was 6 months old, Mom put me in this Zipadee-zip (that I’m wearing right now). And I woke up really refreshed, though a little early in my Mom’s opinion - at 4am. But that was my first 8hr stretch in a really looooong time. I won’t say I’m a perfect sleeper today, but I’m definitely getting much more rest these days. Thanks to my Zippy, I still feel all snug despite given the freedom to move around during my sleep. How cool is that?! I believe the trick is in the arms (or wing span?), it greatly reduces the startle reflex that I still have.

Mom’s much happier too, since she’s getting more rest at night. So to all the other sleep deprived Moms out there, why don’t you try the Zippy too? It might just be the solution to getting a good night’s sleep.

But wait. Let’s determine if you should give the Zippy a try.. My mom got this for me because:

    1. I was a real swaddle addict. Yes.  I love my swaddle. Take it away from me, and I don’t sleep.
    2. I was escaping so many times at night from my swaddle that Mom was losing count of how many times she was entering my room to re-swaddle me
    3. I have a really strong startle reflex, and I’m an *extremely* light sleeper

If this really sounds like your baby... perhaps the Zippy might just work for you. From my own experience, here’s the main difference between the Zippy and other traditional swaddles that I’ve used:

    • Zippy: I CAN MOVE around freely, and still sleep as though I was swaddled.
    • Other swaddles: Tough chance keeping my arms in… I will eventually break FREE and wake up. Or even if my arms stayed in, I would somehow wake up cos' I'm a big boy now and I want FREEDOM when I sleep.

Let me tell you more about the Zippy. This amazing product is from the USA:

    1. Material: There are basically 2 types – lightweight cotton and Fleece. In our hot and humid climate, please don’t choose the Fleece… Lightweight cotton works really well in air conditioned rooms
    2. Sizing:  Mom initially made a mistake and put me in a Medium. Sizing is important for babies trying to transition from the traditional swaddle, due to the resistance in the wing span. I’m 8kg and really happy in my Small. When I was in the Medium, I had total FREEDOM to flap my (wings) arms, so that didn’t help much in keeping me asleep. But Mom found a solution to that – thanks to the friendly people at Zipadee-zip, who gave a wonderful suggestion.
    3. Design selection: There are soooo many cute designs to choose from! You can check out the designs at our SLEEP STORE

These are the best! I ordered two of them my first time. Make sure to double check the right size on their sites size charts. The Zipadee-Zip is supposed to be slightly snug.

We started using it last week when my son rolled onto his tummy while swaddled. It took two days and one night for him to get used to it. He has not slept on his back since he rolled last week. Each time I put him to sleep on his back he would immediately roll over. I flipped him back onto his back a few times and helped him fall asleep on his back, but five minutes later he would wake up and I would go in to find him on his tummy. So I stopped fighting it and let him sleep on his tummy. He can roll both ways in the Zipadee-Zip and their website says its safe to use if they can roll. I feel comfortable with my son sleeping on his tummy in it.
